Hospitality has lived on this property since the original Appel tavern welcomed neighbors in 1765. The Beckmann family became its stewards in 1981, hosted their first wedding here in 1983, and opened the Gathering Space in 1995. Today, that history is carried forward through warm, personal care from your first visit through the final farewell.

A wraparound porch, bar, café tables, patio heaters, twinkle lights, and a fire pit invite cocktail hour to unfold indoors and out.

Your celebration includes private use of the Gathering Space, both dressing suites, and the thoughtfully prepared outdoor areas. Tables, X-back chairs, and select venue décor are provided, giving you a welcoming place to begin and room to make it personally yours.

For seasonal outdoor ceremonies, the clear-top tent, vintage church pews, and surrounding twinkle lights create an inviting setting. Guests can also enjoy the wraparound porch, patio heaters, fire pit, and softly lit outdoor gathering spaces throughout the celebration.

The clear-top ceremony tent, covered porch, climate-controlled Gathering Space, and indoor ceremony option allow the day to adapt without losing its sense of occasion.

May we choose our own vendors and décor?+

Our team can share trusted recommendations, and outside vendors may be welcomed with approval. Personal décor is encouraged as long as it can be installed without altering the venue.

Can we visit before making a decision?+

Absolutely. A personal tour is the best way to experience the flow of the grounds and imagine how your gathering could feel. Virtual visits can also be arranged when traveling is difficult.
